The Mountain Boot Company Ltd. is a market leading distributor of premium outdoor and climbing brands including Scarpa, Sea To Summit and Grivel.

We are seeking to appoint an additional member of staff in the role of After Sales Operative to bolster our existing After Sales Team.

Working from our office in Newcastle, the responsibilities of the role include:

  • Assessing products returned under warranty by customers and retailers in line with brand guidelines
  • Providing feedback to customers regarding their return and negotiating positive outcomes
  • Processing and re-stocking of e-commerce orders to ensure the quickest possible turnaround
  • Recording of returns data into our database
  • Processing of replacements and credits through our ERP system

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A genuine passion for the outdoors and outdoor kit
  • A proactive approach and strong work ethic
  • A background in customer service
  • The ability to work alone or as part of team
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office packages including Outlook and Excel
  • The ability to work calmly and make decisions under pressure
  • Experience working in outdoor retail is desirable but not essential
